Q: Kyrgyzstan held a national referendum on June 27. How do you comment?

A: China noted the national referendum of Kyrgyzstan proceeded peacefully on June 27 and a preliminary result has been announced by Kyrgyzstan's Central Election Committee. China considers the national referendum as the internal affairs of Kyrgyzstan. China respects the choice of the Kyrgyz people and supports the efforts for stability in Kyrgyzstan. China hopes the situation in Kyrgyzstan would stabilize and social order return to normal at an early date. China will, as always, develop the good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and continue to provide Kyrgyzstan with humanitarian aid and other assistance within its capacity.
