On November 22, 2021, Chinese Ambassador Li Minggang met with Osama Ahmad Al-Munawar, member of Kuwait's National Assembly.

Ambassador Li briefed him on China's development and offered him all three volumes of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China as a gift, saying that these publications provide a systematic summary of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and that they will be helpful for Kuwaiti friends to gain a deeper understanding of the new development ideas of contemporary China and the initiative of building a community with a shared future for mankind.

For his part, Osama thanked Ambassador Li for his briefing, and said that he is glad to see China's continuous advancement in various aspects under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will read these books carefully and learn from Chinese wisdom demonstrated therein, he added. Kuwait treats China as a trustworthy partner and applauds the fruitful outcomes of bilateral cooperation over the course of the past five decades since the establishment of diplomatic relations. He looked forward to an opportunity to visit China sometime and see the remarkable achievements of the Chinese people in person.
