On July 16, 2024, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei met with the director of Torous Center for Middle East Studies Mohammed.

Ambassador Zhang noted that guided by the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, China and Kuwait have maintained ever closer exchanges and cooperation. The Chinese Embassy in Kuwait will strengthen the links with the Torous Center and other think-tanks in Kuwait so as to foster exchanges and cooperation between think-tanks of the two nations and further contribute to closer China-Kuwait friendship and deeper cooperation between China and other countries in the region.

For his part, Mohammed stressed that China is always a trustworthy partner of Kuwait, adding that the Kuwaiti people express admiration for China’s remarkable achievements and desire to gain a deeper understanding of the key to China’s success.
