On September 3, 2024, an art show themed by “A Moonment to Remember in Kuwait” was held at the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait. This event was attended by Ambassador Zhang Jianwei, Director of Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism Mrs. Li Aiwu, Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshal Al-Sabah, as well as over 1000 other guests including Kuwaiti officials, friends from various sectors, foreign diplomatic envoys to Kuwait and representatives from Chinese enterprises and the local Chinese communities.

During his speech, Ambassador Zhang said cultural exchanges between China and Kuwait have enhanced mutual understanding and affinity between the two peoples and given strong momentum to the progress of bilateral relations on all fronts. Guided by the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, China will pursue the Global Civilization Initiative, earnestly implement the important consensus between the two leaders and work actively to present to Kuwaiti friends the fine traditional Chinese culture, in order to contribute to the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind.

The art show, featuring acrobatic and dance performance, was a visual feast for the audience to understand the Chinese culture. It was applauded by the audience as an effective way to experience the profoundness and time-honored history of the Chinese culture.
