Ambassador Zhang Jianwei Attends the Embassy’s Reception in Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the PRC’s Founding

On September 25, 2024, the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait held a grand reception to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The reception received flower baskets from Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Sabah and was attended by over 800 guests, including Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs and Acting Minister of Oil Nora Suleiman Al-Fassam and other Kuwaiti officials, local friends from various sectors, diplomatic envoys in Kuwait and representatives from the local Chinese community.



    In his speech, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei reviewed the remarkable achievements since the founding of the PRC and briefed the guests on the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He stressed that China’s commitment to further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization will provide vast opportunities for global growth. China stands ready to work with the Kuwaiti side to elevate bilateral strategic partnership to new heights.


    Nora highly praised China-Kuwait relations during her congratulatory speech, saying that Kuwait is willing to work with China to make practical cooperation between the two countries more productive.



    At the reception performance was staged to showcase Chinese national costume and Tai Chi fan dancing. There was also an award session to announce the winners of the “Beautiful China” photography contest. What’s more, high-tech products manufactured by China including automobiles and new energy power generation equipment were displayed and well received by the guests.
