On September 25, 2024, the award ceremony for the “Beautiful China” Photography Contest was held by the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait during its reception in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. Ambassador Zhang Jianwei, and Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs and Acting Minister of Oil of Kuwait Nora Suleiman Al-Fassam presented prizes for the winners and encouraged the participants to continue contributing to promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

    This contest is intended to present an accurate, multidimensional and panoramic image of China through the lenses of local travelers to China, and has attracted wide attention. Among a total of 240 entries received for the contest, two entries, one depicting the beautiful Chinese dancing contributed by Al-Arab Editor-in-Chief Abdulla Dusri and the other showing the urban landscape of Chongqing by night from an electrical engineer named Nasser Al-Qallaf were selected and announced as the first prize. Five second prizes and 15 third prizes went to other participants.
