​ Charge d’Affaires Liu Xiang Lectures at Kuwait’s Mubarak Al Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College

On October 28, 2024, Mr. Liu Xiang, Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait, visited Kuwait’s Mubarak Al Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College at its invitation to give a lecture. The Commander of the college Major General Fahad Al-Khurainij and over 200 students and teachers attended this lecture.

    Liu Xiang briefed the attendees on the key characteristics of Chinese modernization, highlighting that the Chinese government is committed to achieving common prosperity for all, material and cultural-ethical advancement, and harmony between humanity and nature. As the Third Plenum of the 20th CPC Central Committee made a decision on further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization, the Chinese people will make unremitting efforts to pursue greater heights in this process. The three major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping have gained wide support from the international community. Committed to peaceful development, China will work with other countries to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

    In response to questions from the attendees, Liu Xiang elaborated on China’s position and proposals concerning certain issues including its commitment to promoting solidarity and cooperation among the Middle East countries and jointly ensuring regional security and development.

    Major General Fahad Al-Khurainij observed that China plays a constructive role as a major responsible country in regional peace and development.
