On December 9, 2024, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei called on Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The meeting took place in the presence of the head of the Diwan of the Prime Minister Abdulaziz Dakheel Al-Dakheel, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Minister of Public Works Nora Al-Mashaan, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Abdulaziz Bushehri, Minister of State for Municipality Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Mishari, Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Nora Al-Fassam, Minister of Oil Tareq Al-Roumi, Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat, as well as Political Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Mr. Liu Xiang and Economic and Commercial Counselor Mr. Hu Hanming.

The two sides exchanged their views on efforts to implement the important consensus reached between the two heads of state and to deepen bilateral strategic partnership. They both stressed the need to further increase communication and synergy and work hard to make our practical cooperation yield good results at an early date for the greater benefit of the two peoples.
