Recently, Chargé d'Affaires Ad Interim Liu Xiang Called on Mr.Emad Bukhamseen Editor-in-Chief of Annahar newspaper, and Mr. Walid Alnisef Editor-in-Chief of Alqabas newspaper, two mainstream Kuwaiti media outlets. He briefed them on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the adoption of the 15th Five-Year Plan proposal. Discussions also covered deepening China-Kuwait news and cultural exchanges and promoting practical cooperation between the two countries.

The Kuwaiti newspaper editors-in-chief spoke highly of China's development achievements and the outcomes of Kuwait-China cooperation across various fields. They noted that the proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan send a clear signal of China's commitment to openness, cooperation and mutual benefit. China's high-level opening-up will bring more opportunities for regional countries to deepen cooperation and pursue common development with China. They emphasized that Kuwaiti media cherish the traditional friendly relations between Kuwait and China, respect China's core interests and major concerns, and are willing to contribute positively to deepening cultural exchanges and promoting mutual understanding between the two peoples.
