On January 20, 2026, Ambassador of China to Kuwait Yang Xin visited the 25th Chinese Medical Team to Kuwait，and presented them with "Chinese New Year's packages" on behalf of the Chinese Embassy. Hu Hanming, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, was present during the visit.

Ambassador Yang said, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the dispatch of Chinese Medical Team to Kuwait. Each team member, far from homeland and families, provided high-quality medical services to the Kuwaiti people and Chinese compatriots in Kuwait, playing a positive role in enhancing the friendship between China and Kuwait. We look forward to the team’s continued efforts in the new year, benefiting the people of Kuwait with their compassion and medical expertise, telling China’s story well with practical actions, and making greater contributions to building a community of common health for the people of both countries.

The team members expressed that they will live up to the expectations of homeland and families, and make new contributions to promoting the friendly relations between China and Kuwait through practical actions.

Afterwards，Ambassador Yang met with Dr. Jemal Mohamed, director of the Kuwait Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation  Hospital, and exchanged views on supporting the Chinese medical team to play a better role in the Kuwaiti health and medical field.
