On 25 January, Ambassador of China to Kuwait Yang Xin met with Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.

Ambassador Yang stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait 55 years ago, the two countries have respected and supported each other, becoming a model of equal treatment between large and small nations. China is willing to work with Kuwait to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously deepen political mutual trust, strengthen pragmatic cooperation, enhance people-to-people exchanges, and elevate the China-Kuwait strategic partnership to a new level.

Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah welcomed Ambassador Yang to his new post, highly praised the positive progress made in Kuwait-China relations, and emphasized China's willingness to work with China to continue traditional friendship, accelerate the implementation of cooperation documents signed by the two heads of state, continuously deepen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote greater development of Kuwait-China relations.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.
