On June 22, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin paid a courtesy visit to Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Affairs Dr. Reem Al-Fulaij.

Ambassador Yang Xin said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait 55 years ago, bilateral relations have developed steadily. In particular, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state over the recent years, practical cooperation between the two sides has yielded fruitful results. Harmony between man and nature is one of the defining features of Chinese modernization, and pursuing sustainable development is the shared goal of our two nations. China is ready to share with Kuwait experience and deepen cooperation in the related sectors.

For her part, Reem stressed that Kuwait attaches great importance to the development of relations with China and commends China’s remarkable achievements in sustainable development. Kuwait will learn from China’s good experience and practices and work to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, in a bid to deliver greater benefit to the two peoples.
