On June 23, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin paid a courtesy call on Acting Director General of Kuwait News Agency Mohammad Al-Mannai. 

Ambassador Yang Xin said, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Kuwait relations have maintained sound momentum. China stands ready to work with Kuwait to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of media to elevate bilateral relations to new heights. He expected Kuwait News Agency, as the country’s authoritative media outlet, to further increase its coverage of China and China-Kuwait relations to present an accurate, multidimensional and panoramic image of China to the Kuwaiti people.  

For his part, Mohammad spoke highly of China’s development achievements and the outcomes of China-Kuwait cooperation, adding that Kuwait News Agency will serve as a bridge for providing the Kuwaiti society with comprehensive information about China and the interactions and cooperation between China and Kuwait, in order to contribute its share to enhancing the friendship between the two peoples and further advancing bilateral relations.
