On July 6, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin met with Kuwait’s Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan.

Ambassador Yang Xin said, with the joint efforts of both sides, China-Kuwait cooperation in the field of public works has been productive with strong momentum, adding that China will work closer with Kuwait to implement the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, further promote greater synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Kuwait Vision 2035 so as to deliver greater benefits to the two peoples. 

For her part, Nora spoke highly of the progress of practical cooperation between the two sides and the contributions of Chinese enterprises to Kuwait’s economic and social progress. She expressed willingness to work with China to elevate bilateral cooperation to new heights under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. 

The two sides exchanged their views on the cooperation on relevant major projects.
