Ambassador Yang Xin Visited Kuwaiti Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan

On July 15, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin paid a visit to Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan. 



Ambassador Yang Xin said, over the 55 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait, the two sides have forged a high level of mutual political trust, adding that thanks to the personal care and strategic guidance of the two heads of state, bilateral relations have been at its best in history in recent years. This year marks the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). China is now working hard to accomplish the goals for the centenary of the PLA and elevate more quickly our people’s armed forces to world-class standards. The PLA will resolutely safeguard sovereignty, security and development interests and make greater contributions to maintaining world peace and development. China stands ready to enhance military exchanges and cooperation with Kuwait so as to further lift military-to-military relations to greater heights. 

   

For his part, Khaled spoke positively of state-to-state and military-to-military relations between the two sides, and commended China’s remarkable achievements in national and military development. He expressed willingness to increase military exchanges and cooperation with China in order to drawn on advanced military experience from each other and enable the two militaries to better fulfill duties and tasks.
