On September 13, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin paid a visit to Mr. Rasheed Ali Al-Bader, the Acting Director-General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).  

This year marks the 55h anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait, Ambassador Yang Xin said, adding that bilateral cooperation in various fields has made notable progress over the years. Kuwait is the Arab state offering the largest amount of government concessional loans to China. The KFAED has long provided valuable support for the development of various sectors of China including infrastructure, education and medical care. China highly appreciates this and stands ready to enhance cooperation with the KFAED to boost the shared development of both countries.  

For his part, Bader spoke positively of the profound friendship and sound cooperation between Kuwait and China, and highly praised China’s remarkable achievements since its opening up. He said that the KFAED is willing to further deepen cooperation with China and play a positive role in China’s economic and social development and modernization.
